The Ikea Spöka, a rubber light up toy, just look at the picture.

I figured this would be a perfect platform to do a color mixing, PWM, RGB LED mood light.  So, $14.99 later, I began the teardown.

The rubber cover came off with some effort, but nothing was glued or otherwise permanently assembled.

The faux-lightbulb splits in half easily revealing 4 LEDs, 3 AAA sized rechargable batteries and a charging circuit.

I’ll be retaining the pushbutton/charger PCB. battery pack and the charger plug of course.  One of the 8pin PICs will fit inside nicely.
