Various graphs and statistics of the environment in and around the home of Ron, KA1KJZ
This is a continually evolving site of my home monitoring efforts using various Arduino based, AVR boards, environmental sensors, and a combination of direct internet connection, and Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) techniques. Not all of the links work yet, not every room has a sensor yet, but you can easily see the direction this is going. Below is a graph of the temperature and light level in the office here, it is very easy to see trends based on time of day, activity, and whether or not the air conditioner is on.
Ultimately I will add graphing for such events, i.e. ambient light, A/C status, outdoor temperature, furnace status and so on. Then these trends will be easy to identify without having to actually be here to witness them. I can very easily tell when I turn on the A/C, what happens when it's turned off (who knew the walls spilled so much heat!), the ambient weather conditions and when I get active in the room, stirring up the air.
Eventually this will also be coupled with a weather station of some degree. I believe I will build my own entirely from scratch (save for the various sensors), to gain the experience and "just because I can".
